Premier Dalton McGuinty joined HHS staff, physicians, volunteers, local officials, and Oakville residents at the site of the New Oakville Hospital at Third Line and Dundas Street on Thursday, September 22, 2011, for a ceremonial groundbreaking event to officially kick off construction of the New Oakville Hospital.

Hospital staff and supporters gathered in the cafeteria at Oakville-Trafalgar Memorial to hear the announcement that Betty Birmingham, and her late husband Bruce, have made a $3.5 million donation to the New Oakville Hospital.

Under intermittent blue skies and brisk fall winds a group of dedicated hospital supporters and staff gathered at the future site of Oakville's new hospital to hear the news that Peter Gilgan, Founder and CEO of Mattamy Homes has pledged to donate an historic $10 million to Halton Healthcare Services' (HHS) New Oakville Hospital.

New Hospital Announced
